Sticky Paws
When I mentioned my cat’s fondness for sharpening his claws on our new bed, somebody recommended we try Sticky Paws. I wondered exactly why it worked – was it just sticky and unpleasant? Do cats find the sensation of tape-on-toes abhorrent? Well, now I know. It discourages claw sharpening by coming loose on contact with the cat’s paw, causing the cat to struggle to remove the tape from it’s legs, becoming hopelessly entangled in double-sided tape in the process. All this happens at 3am of course.
